ABOUT ME

Hello Everyone! My name is Lorena Jolta and I am the owner and sole provider at Little Miracles Home Daycare.

I have a beautiful 1 year old daughter, Rebecca and an amazing husband, Sebastian. We love exploring, traveling, hiking & pretty much anything that involves being outside and soaking in the sun.

I was born in Constanta, Romania and moved to Hollywood, Florida at the age of 7 with my family. I grew up in South Florida, where I got to experience all the beautiful beaches, malls, museums, and multiple parks and resorts. I went to college at Florida Atlantic University, where I received my Bachelors in Business Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship.

After college I met a wonderful Family who hired me to work at their special needs school as a full time teacher’s assistant. I was fortunate to work with some amazing students who had learning, mental, emotional, or physical disabilities. I worked with individual students and small groups of students to reinforce the learning material and skills introduced and outlined by the certified classroom teacher. I provided one-on-one support for students to reinforce learning concepts. I provided special needs students with basic learning skills to move them forward in their education and I demonstrated and encouraged proper social skills and social interaction for students with special needs. Working with individuals with special needs brought with it a host of unique challenges and opportunities. The children I worked with made everyday fulfilling, and I knew my work was making a positive impact and helping each individual to grow, gain skills and work towards independence.

Before working as a teacher’s assistant I worked with multiple families as a child care provider. I started watching kids from the age of 15 and I fell in love doing so. I watched kids of all ages starting with newborns to the age of 12 years old. I watched multiple kids at the same time, sometimes 6-7 kids. My responsibilities as a child care provider varied but was mostly to be the primary authority figure while the parents were away which meant that I was in charge of everything that corresponded to the care of the children. I loved watching the little ones grow and play and I loved creating a safe and stimulating environment for the children.

In 2016 I met my now husband Sebastian Jolta who was living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After we got married in 2018 I moved there to be with him. In Michigan I wanted to try a different career path and see where it would take me. I started working for a busy dental office in Ann Arbor as an insurance coordinator/ Office Manager and I did that for almost 3 years but I wasn't loving it. I felt like I could do more and I wanted to find another opportunity. I found a job at the University of Michigan as a project coordinator for a research team within the Anesthesiology department, where I currently assist in grant administration activities to ensure compliance with both grant related work plans and budgets and University policies. I also support the team in the development and implementation of equitable and appropriate hiring and off boarding processes, and I work alongside project staff to ensure the successful completion of daily operations. I like what I do but since I've gotten off the path of caring for children I feel that something is missing and I don't feel fulfilled like I used to feel when I cared for children.

In the beginning of 2022 my husband was offered a job for a large motor company in Phoenix, Arizona and he accepted right away. So as a family we made the decision to move to beautiful and sunny Arizona. God blessed us and helped us purchase a house in Arrowhead Ranches right away; so me, my husband and our beautiful 1 year old daughter packed up and moved. Since then I have been working remotely for the University of Michigan but I have decided that in the beginning of 2023 I would love to do something with children. I have decided to pursue my dream and open a home daycare where I can take care of my daughter and watch other wonderful children as well.
